Frontline Technologies was preparing to expand into Canada and Central America with Aesop, a phone and internet system used to manage teacher absences and arrange for substitutes. They wanted to provide versions of the system localized into French Canadian and Spanish. MTM LinguaSoft handled the entire project, which involved not only localizing the Aesop online portal, but also translating online help, training video scripts, and phone systems voice prompts. MTM LinguaSoft also provided professional voice recording for the training video voice-overs and the telephone prompts.
More recently, Frontline introduced a mobile app, Jobulator, which notifies potential substitute teachers of jobs in Aesop and allows them to accept jobs from their iPhone or iPad. We also provided the French and Spanish translations of Jobulator along with localization testing by native linguists. When Frontline adopted an agile development method we were able to adapt our processes to conform to the client’s needs. Agile development involves the development and testing of software in small increments rather than treatment of each piece of software as a single project proceeding in sequential steps from conception through testing and implementation.
